According to their Twitter profile, Southampton has officially confirmed Mauricio Pellegrino’s choice as a new coach. The Argentine tactician has signed a three-year contract with the English club, taking over for the exiting Claude Puel. For Southhampton, Pellegrino becomes their third coach in three years, as Puel and Ronald Koeman occupied the bench before him. The Argentine returns to the Premier League after a year with Alaves in La Liga. It will be his first time as a head coach though in England, as his time with Liverpool he was an assistant under Rafa Benitez.
