With barely two years to the 2019 general elections, suspected supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari have commenced the process of seeking a second term for him.
The supporters who have flooded the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with Buhari’s re-election posters have intensified efforts to convince Nigerians for a possible second term for the ailing leader.
The posters, which were carefully pasted and displayed at strategic positions along the Central District, Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Road, and Wuse District of the FCT.
President Buhari, who has missed three consecutive Federal Executive Council ( FEC) meetings over his failing health was also absent at the wedding of his grandson at the weekend, a situation which raised concerns over his health and comments by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders like former the National Chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande, who advised that the president should concentrate on his health.
But the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amechi and the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu had last week argued that President Buhari would be strong enough to run for a second term in 2019.
